Enamelled ewer in the Renaissance taste, the circular ribbed body decorated with an enamelled frieze featuring mythological scenes, the handle composed of an enamelled mermaid holding a snake’s head aloft, the spout supported on the head of Zephyr, and the finial surmounted by Poseidon. Exhibited by Bapst et Falize at the 1889 Exposition Universelle.
