Closing of the Pre-Columbian Gold exhibition

The Fabergé Museum announced the closing of its traveling exhibition, ``Pre-Columbian Gold,'' which was shown at the Kostroma State Museum from March 15 to April 15 as part of the Romanov festival.

We are happy to give Kostroma this opportunity. Thousands of visitors had the chance to enjoy and savour the art and culture of the Maya, Incas, and Aztecs. Many visitors came twice, as they realised that rarely in the world can one find such a permanent exhibition devoted to these interesting cultures.

The first days of the Kostroma exhibition show that the Russian public has a strong interest in these gold treasures. One should bear in mind that this exhibition of Pre-Columbian Gold is the first such show of Central American heritage held in post-Soviet Russia.
